Change your Skyrim character's race mid game!
WARNING!: This may prevent you from getting steam achievements, because you are messing with the console. This hasn't been confirmed, but be aware that it is possible. Playing with console can give you very unexpected results, know this and keep a save before doing anything with it.
This is PC only. Make a save or two before doing this (to be sure). I tried to change to Nord and it gave me an invisible model, and gave me errors when I tried to change my appearance in the race menu. I had to alt+f4 out. Loading into your save reverts everything to normal.
1. Press your tilde key (this opens the console)
2. Type "player.setrace (name of the race you want to change to)"
3. To change your appearance type "showracemenu" in the console (DO NOT change your race in this menu! It will wipe your stats and you will not get them back!)
If I find out how to make Nord work I will update this post with the information. I hope this helps some people!

Console does nothing to stop you from getting your little awards and the like; its a dev tool that they leave in every single one of their games, you can use it as much as you like with the only risk being errors you cause by using commands wrongly.

I'm convinced it's pretty fucking easy to get unbanned from Prologue at this point in time.
Just need to get on your knees.

I laugh at people like you, I really do... You like to 'stand out against the torrent of mindless idiots.' Its always good times to watch the new kids try and fight their way up the 'ranks' of Prologue in the attempt to make a name for themselves, be it a good or a bad name.
Yes I am Skippy the all knowing troll-god of Prologue, yada yada yada...
Oh and I wouldn't hold my breath on me getting banned again, I've got a 110% warning level and I just know there are a few people out there wanting to ban me again, I'm just not really sure who, or when. Tbh I don't mind, I read the forums more than I post on them.

Okay.
No, I'm not trying to stand out - you got banned, and for a damn good reason. I'm well aware that some people 'wuv you', but that doesn't mean you should be allowed to stay a part of this community, no matter the fact you've been permanently banned from the server. In my opinion, if you're banned from the server, you should also be banned from the forums.

Is this necessary? Skippy came here to be helpful, then you waltz in here and fire up some drama.

Tip: The tilde key is the "|" key. It is next to 1 and under Esc on my keyboard. You can also find the complete list of commands here.
Thanks!

It's actually the ` or ~ key on most keyboards, but it's indeed the one next to the 1 key.
Not sure how changing races influences your game, since some NPCs do give the impression they react differently (even if slightly) towards some races. Might be an illusion!
But you can at least use it to change your appearance. Do be careful to always save just in case, your character has a tendency to start out in this menu with weird skintones, etc.

Then he decided to pull out the 'I've been here longer so all you say is invalid' card, with a holier-then-thou attitude to boot. Hence my response.

No, it's not necessary - I asked a question, and apparently he is still banned - for now.
Actually, you asked a question, then started throwing around offensive insinuations about what it takes to be unbanned. You aren't the victim in this little spat; you're the instigator of it.

Your just raging at a guy who did nothing within this thread. Bravo.

Cheats ruined oblivion for me before, so I never bothered looking up for a code or something for Skyrim.
